Terms and conditions
This is a translation of the Dutch terms and conditions, provided for your convenience. If the two versions differ, the Dutch text prevails. You can read it by choosing NL in the language menu.
Last updated: October 2026.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to everyone who uses De Bromfietsbeurs. By creating an account you agree to them. De Bromfietsbeurs is run by R. van Milligen in Spakenburg, the Netherlands, and can be reached at info@debromfietsbeurs.nl.
2. What De Bromfietsbeurs does
We offer an online place where buyers and sellers of mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, parts and accessories can find each other. We are not a party to the sale ourselves. You make arrangements about price, condition, payment and handover directly with the other party. We are not responsible for the accuracy of listings or for what happens between buyer and seller.
3. Your account
- You are 16 or older. If you are under 18, you only buy or sell with the permission of your parents or guardian.
- You provide correct details when signing up and keep your password secret.
- You are responsible for what happens with your account. We recommend two-step verification.
- You can always delete your account yourself via My account.
4. Listings
- You only post listings for things that belong to you and that you are allowed to sell.
- Describe honestly what you are selling, with your own photos and a fair price.
- Every listing is checked before it goes online. We may refuse, edit or take down a listing if it does not comply with these terms.
- A listing stays online for 30 days and can then be renewed. Posting and renewing are currently free. If charges are introduced, we will make this clear in advance.
5. What is not allowed
- Offering stolen vehicles or parts, or vehicles with a false or ground-off frame number.
- Fake listings, misleading information, or asking for payment in advance with the intention to defraud.
- Harassing, insulting or threatening others, or sending inappropriate photos.
- Spam, advertising for other websites, or using the site in a way that disrupts how it works.
- Offering anything that is prohibited by law.
- Collecting, copying or using other users' details for anything other than the purchase or sale you are in contact about (for example for advertising), or automatically scraping listings.
In case of a breach we may remove listings and (temporarily) block or delete accounts. In case of criminal offences we may report them to the police.
6. Bids and messages
- A bid is an invitation to talk further. A sale only comes about when buyer and seller agree together.
- You send messages through the site. Keep it friendly and honest.
- When something is reported, the administrator may view the conversation concerned to assess the report (see the privacy statement).
7. Reporting
See a listing or user that isn't right? Report it using the button on the listing or in the conversation. We look at every report, but cannot promise to always respond within a certain time.
8. Personal data and privacy
- We handle your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The privacy statement explains which data we use, what for, who we work with and how long we keep it.
- We only use the data needed to make the marketplace work and keep it safe. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.
- You can change your details yourself and delete your account with all associated data via My account. Would you like to see your data or receive it in a file, or do you have another request about your data? Email info@debromfietsbeurs.nl from the email address of your account. We will answer your request within one month.
- If you receive another user's details through the site (such as a name, phone number or pick-up address), you only use them for that purchase or sale, and delete them afterwards.
- Do not put other people's personal data in a listing or photo without their permission, such as recognisable people, addresses or the registration plates of other vehicles.
- If a data breach poses a risk to users, we report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) within 72 hours, and if the risk is high we inform the users concerned.
9. Liability
We do our best to make the site work well and safely, but cannot guarantee that it will always be available without interruptions. We are not liable for damage caused by transactions between users, by incorrect listings, or by the site being temporarily unavailable, unless the law provides otherwise.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. You can tell by the date at the top; for major changes we will let you know in advance.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Have a complaint? Please contact us first; we are happy to look for a solution together.
